In general, horsepower ratings are based from Generation III Silverado trucks.

OEM horsepower ratings are:

4.8 = 285 hp @ 5,200 rpm

5.3 = 295 hp @ 5,200 rpm

6.0 = 300 hp @ 4,400 rpm


All motors are torn down and go through a high heat pressurized wash cycle. We catch most, if not all, of the grime that gets stuck in a used motor.
We also replace important components that will keep your swap running.

The engines are not rebuilt. Motors are pullouts from totaled vehicles and are thoroughly tested to ensure proper function prior to sale.

We have collaborated with a local, reputable machine shop owner to offer a quality service for a Zero Mile Rebuild option. This is in addition to the motor purchase.

This is a list of some great places to start if you need a new transmission to pair with our motor.

Limited availability has forced us to suspend all transmission options. We have provided a list of resources specific to your transmission needs. When in doubt, we recommend you talk to the company you are purchasing a transmission from.

Most setups are in fact truck motors that are easily swap-able into other trucks. Installing in a car is not more difficult, but will likely require additional parts to allow for proper hood clearance.

In most cases, the motors would require an oil pan, front bracket kit and fabricated intake. Any additional specific parts would be discussed in the consultation and all required parts can be sourced and installed by us.

What is Your Warranty?

Our setups are covered by a 30 day limited replacement warranty. We are a small private company, not a big corporation, therefore we strive to treat you with respect and resolve issues accordingly. Our goal is 100% customer satisfaction.

Altering the setup in any way after purchase will void the warranty. This includes, but not limited to, removing or replacing accessories or wiring.
Texas LS Motors will only honor warranty claims from the original purchaser. Introducing a 3rd party (shop/installer) will void the warranty. Unfortunately, introducing a 3rd party removes the ability to control handling, proper installation and opportunity of mechanical abuse or mishandling. In the case a replacement is deemed appropriate, Texas LS Motors will not pay for the removal or re-installation of the failed component. Texas LS Motors will provide a replacement part to the original purchaser. In the case shipping is necessary, Texas LS Motors will not cover the shipping cost of the replacement part. Texas LS Motors is not responsible for damage during transport or shipping.

The warranty does not cover:

*Replacement of oil

*Trans fluid or any other substance

*Loss of time / income or loss of use of the vehicle

*Towing charges

*Rentals, or

*Lodging Storage fees

*Diagnostic time or labor charges

*Injury or death to persons or damage or destruction of property


We ship to the lower 48 and the fee is estimated based on your zip code. Alaska and Hawaii will need to request a separate price quote.

Product Purchase

We have a 7-day return policy on products purchased (not motors), which means you have 7 days after receiving your item to request a return. 

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
